The Sojourner's Road Home: A 40-Day Journey to the Heart of God

Dysfunction is the norm. It doesn't have to define who you are or keep you from achieving your goals. A good novel starts with a fully developed protagonist and then tells his backstory. The same is true in real life. This is my backstory.

The protagonist in my first book has my personality and some of my backstory. Rough Way to the High Way takes readers on a journey with Mack, a trucker-turned-pastor-turned-trucker who hits the road again after his wife’s murder. Pastor Mack's wife, Georgia, provided a foundation that allowed him to overcome his past challenges.

He did overcome them, at least on the surface – until Georgia was murdered. Mack returns to the only thing he knows how to do other than preach - drive. Mack has seen it all. He's been a truck driver and pastor, and now he's back on the road. But this time, he's not just looking for a way out. He's looking for justice.

I switched gears for my second book after the world turned upside down.
